Gage County Fair begins
The Gage County Fair kicked off today in Beatrice! It runs through the rest of the week.
The Gage County Fair has a lot to offer this year.
"We’ve got a lot of 4–H and open class and FFA on the grounds, a lot of exhibits are coming in and we are probably looking toward one of the biggest fair’s we’ve had," said Steve Whitwer.
All the fair favorites are there, the carnival and plenty of food.
If you like animals, there is a big selection. Anything from pigs, goats, ducks, sheep and a ton of cattle.
"I am just excited to see all the 4–H here and that’s what I’m excited for and all the people that come because we have a lot of great people here in Gage County," said Whitwer.
As for entertainment, Josh Turner performs Thursday night at 8.
Whitwer says the Eve of Destruction Saturday night is close to selling out. They normally sell around 3500 tickets.
