8 arrested during human trafficking operation near I-80

Sarpy County Sheriff's performed the operation to find human trafficking victims

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Eight adults were arrested during a human trafficking and prostitution operation near I-80 and Highway 50 in Sarpy County on Sunday, according to authorities.

The eight arrests were made on 10 charges. The operation was intended to find people involved in human trafficking and help those wanting to escape.

Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office also wanted to prevent prostitution-related crimes in the area and find victims of human trafficking.

Omaha Police, Papillion Police, Council Bluffs Police, Nebraska State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation helped in this operation.
