Portion of South First Street to temporarily close

South First Street between J and F Streets will be closed on September 8th

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – According to the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department South First Street between J and F streets will be temporarily closed on Wednesday.

No through traffic will be allowed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., as they are doing railroad repairs.

LTU, the Railroad Transportation Safety District and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad are coordinating to improve the safety, reliability, and longevity of the crossing.
