Early taste of fall
It is going to feel more like early October than middle September over the next couple of days in southeast Nebraska. It starts Monday night as skies remain partly cloudy, temperatures are going to drop in to the 40°s. A good night to leave the windows closed, or grab a couple of extra blankets.
It will be slow to warm Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies should prevail over the Channel 8 viewing area. Temperatures will peak in the low 70°s. Winds could gust up to 20 mph out of the north/northwest throughout the day.
Tuesday night/Wednesday morning should have the coldest temperatures of the week. Under clear skies and light winds, temperatures will likely drop to the lower 40°s – with some of the colder prone locales dropping in to the 30°s.
