Pedestrian sustains life threatening injuries after West O Street accident
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police were called to the 2200 block of West O Street for a pedestrian/vehicle accident on October 20th around 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a 55-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle. The man was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Officers interviewed witnesses, processed the scene, and determined a silver 2007 Mercury Monterey was headed eastbound on W O Street in the outside lane of traffic. Mid-block, the man ran across the street in front of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle is a 45-year-old woman, there have been no arrests or citations issued and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
