NSP finds 8 pounds of meth during traffic stop

The troopers found marijuana and cocaine alongside the methamphetamine.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Troopers arrested three men during a traffic stop on I-80 after finding methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine in the vehicle.

A trooper performed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle Thursday night near Grand Island. The trooper spotted marijuana in plain view and conducted a search of the vehicle.

The troopers found more than 8 pounds of methamphetamine, 5 pounds of marijuana and 10 ounces of cocaine, according to NSP.

Troopers arrested Esteban Huerta Rocha, 41, Jose Ek Poot, 48 and Ricardo Jiminez-Noveno, 28, all from San Franciso, Calif.

Troopers arrested the three men for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

NSP lodged the three men at Hall County Jail.
