Lincoln woman assaulted after a friend borrows her car

Lincoln, Neb. (KLKN) – According to Lincoln Police, around 1:45 am on December 21st, a 53-year-old man witnessed Jordan Williams, age 30, assaulting a 23-year-old female in the 2400 block of South 10th Street.

The witness attempted to intervene when Williams pulled out a sword estimated to be 8-10 inches in length.  Williams proceeded to approach the witness and told him to mind his own business.

As officers approached the scene, Williams fled in a silver Honda Accord, which officers were unable to quickly pursue.

The vehicle was later observed driving recklessly in the area of 27th and Highway 2.

With assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol Airwing, the vehicle was followed until it eventually parked in the area of Old Dominion Road and Culpepper Court.

Williams and the female fleed from the vehicle and were apprehended a short distance later hiding in the shrubbery.

Williams remained aggressive, requiring several officers to arrest him. A machete with an approximately 10-inch blade and a kitchen knife with an approximately 3.5-inch blade were located near where Williams was arrested.

The female was also located nearby and confirmed Williams (her friend) had assaulted her after he borrowed her car.  According to the female, Williams punched her in the face and kicked her multiple times.  She was observed to have various contusions and abrasions on her head.

Williams was arrested for Terroristic Threats, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Assault (3rd Degree), and Resist Arrest.

The Lincoln Police Department remains grateful to the Nebraska State Patrol for our ongoing partnership, which was pivotal in the apprehension of Williams.
