A cold front is headed our way
A cold front will slice across the state on Friday, cooling us off as it does. Storms along the cold front will hold off until it is far southeast of Nebraska.
Temperatures on Friday will be a little wonky. We’ll be warmer in the morning, but by the afternoon, just about everybody will have cooled off. Above is what 3pm will look like.
The wind will be shifting from the south to the northwest through the morning and gusting up to 40 mph.
We’re not looking at a lot of precipitation for the state on Friday, but some snow is possible in the panhandle!
By early Saturday morning, cold air will have settled in and below freezing temperatures are possible for the blue shaded areas.
We’ll try to warm up on Saturday, but won’t quite make it back to the average high (mid 60s).
It’ll be cold again Sunday morning, then we warm right back up. The 80s will return next week!
