Attorney General Hilger announces $29.6 million settlement with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced today a $29.6 million settlement with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Nebraska’s share is $128,191.77.
The settlement involved allegations that the generic drug manufacturer engaged in conspiracy to ‘artificially inflate prices, reduce competition and unreasonably restrain trade’ in regards to numerous prescription drugs.
The case involves various forms of evidence including cooperating witnesses, 20 million documents and phone records.
Along with paying monetary relief, Glenmark has agreed to perform internal reforms and cooperate in litigations against 33 corporate defendants and 25 individual executives.
This settlement follows others with Lannett, Bausch, Apotex and Heritage which has totaled to $66.95 million.
The first landmark trial in Hartford, CT is expected to be scheduled for late 2026.
