Cam Jurgens feeling more comfortable as the pipeline’s signal caller

"His command presence, it's 180 degrees from where he now," said offensive line coach Greg Austin, during a Zoom press conference on Thursday.

LINCOLN — The game is starting to slow down for Cam Jurgens.

“His command presence, it’s 180 degrees from where he now,” said offensive line coach Greg Austin, during a Zoom press conference on Thursday.

Jurgens, a sophomore center out of Beatrice, is poised for a big year for the Big Red. He struggled during his first season as the Huskers starting center after battling injury during fall camp. But now that he’s back at full strength, he’s ready to lead the Husker pipeline.

“Having that experience, it’s going to help me be a lot better this year,” Jurgens said.
