CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Tobacco thief strikes twice

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — In case of emergency- break glass. In need of nicotine- also break glass?

Sunday, Mar. 21, a criminal was caught on camera shattering the glass front door of a local convenience store, Fast Mart, 3293 A St, to swipe a tub full of cigarettes.

In total the burglar grabbed about $895 worth of nicotine before crawling back through the shattered door.

But, this wasn’t the last time Lincoln Police would see this tobacco thief.

On Tuesday, Mar. 23, the burglar shattered the glass front door of Phillips 66, 4749 Normal Blvd, using some sort of tool. They, again, enter the store and load up a tub full of cigarettes, just over $921 worth, before fleeing.

According to the police reports, each shattered door costs at least $500 to fix.
