Chilly with rain and snow chances this week
It’s going to feel more like the middle of February than the first part of March for a while. Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees below average for the next week and a half with light rain and snow possible. Those chances come late Tuesday into Wednesday, then again Saturday into Sunday.
Even though it’s going to be a chilly week ahead, the low temperatures overnight will actually be on the mild side. Our average low this time of year is in the middle 20s and we’ll be closer to 30.
We’ll warm up into the lower 40s by noon, but get stuck. Cloud cover and a pesky east wind will keep us in the lower to mid 40s.
We may not get out of the 30s in south central Nebraska. Most of SE Nebraska will make it into the middle 40s.
By Tuesday night, the chance for precipitation increases. Rain and snow will be possible on and off Tuesday night, Wednesday, and into Thursday.
