Cold start to Thursday

We will start Thursday on a cold note.  Temperatures will drop several degrees below zero for the start of the day.  Currently, we are forecasting a low of -5° in Lincoln.  Some locales could go to -6° or -7°.  Factor in a light wind and wind chills could be as low as -10° to -16°.  Be sure to bundle up if you are going out Thursday morning!

Thursday afternoon won’t be a whole lot better.  Even with sunny skies, temperatures will only top out in the upper teens throughout southeast Nebraska.  Winds will not be much of an issue so wind chills should be just a few degrees below the air temperature.

We’ll have another cold start Friday morning with temperatures dipping just below 0°.  We will start to warm through the day Friday.  Even with skies quickly building with clouds, temperatures will get back to the upper 20°s to lower 30°s.
