Colorado man found guilty of child enticement involving Lincoln teen

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — In 2019, 32-year-old Nathan Kempter of Colorado was arrested for child enticement after kidnapping a Lincoln teen. Wednesday, he received a guilty verdict.

Last year on Aug. 2, Kempter had taken 14-year-old Lincoln girl to Highlands Ranch Colorado. He lured her in online. She was found safe and reunited with her family. Kempter was extradited back to Nebraska.

According to court documents, on Sept. 2, 2020, a jury found Kempter ‘guilty beyond a reasonable doubt’ of attempting to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity and traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
