Cooler air and chances for rain on the way
We need the rain and there are chances out there, but not for everyone. After Tuesday, we’ll have to wait until the weekend for more chances.
Most of the rain Tuesday into early Wednesday will fall south of I80, with a little more in the southern half of the panhandle.
Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storms.
Tuesday will be MUCH cooler than Monday was. We had 60s, 70s, and 80s for highs on Monday. On Tuesday, we won’t make it out of the 50s.
We’ll be cool on on Wednesday, as well. We’ll try for the low 60s, but may not make it!
With those cold couple of days, we will have the stage set for a cold start to Thursday. A hard freeze in the western half of the state is possible with frost in the eastern half of the state.
We warm back up after early Thursday with highs in the 70s through the weekend. The next chance for rain comes our way over the weekend.
