Crete cancels two football games due to COVID-19

The Cardinals have cancelled their next two games (at Lexington on Friday and at home against Plattsmouth on Sept. 25) due to "COVID-19 issues" associated with the program, according to the school's website.

CRETE, Neb. — The Crete football team will not be playing the next two weeks.

The Cardinals have cancelled their next two games (at Lexington on Friday and at home against Plattsmouth on Sept. 25) due to “COVID-19 issues” associated with the program, according to the school’s website.

This is the second time Crete has been forced to cancel a game because of the pandemic. The Cardinals cancelled their game at McCook on Sept. 4.
