Deputies cite 41 for underage drinking at party in northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Over 40 minors were cited for being a minor in possession after Stanton County deputies broke up a party this weekend.

The sheriff’s office says it was called Saturday night about a party at a lake home southwest of Pilger. The caller thought minors were drinking inside.

Deputies showed up at the property and corroborated what the caller said when they saw a large group of people drinking inside.

When deputies knocked, the party’s host answered the door and let them inside, according to the sheriff’s office.

The party was cleared, and deputies say 41 people between the age of 17 and 20 were cited for minor in possession.

The host, a minor from Pender, was also cited for aiding and abetting minors in possession.

The sheriff’s office did not say if any of the minors required medical attention.

Last month, Stanton County deputies busted a different party northeast of Norfolk.
