Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue receives a donation of more than 6,000 lbs of dog food
Tractor Supply Co. gave the rescue a generous donation in a time of need.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue received a special surprise. Tractor Supply Co donated five pallets of dog food to the rescue, that totaled out to more than 6,000 pounds of food.
“We go through bags everyday, the food just means so much to us,” Dolly’s volunteer Lindy Mara said.
Back in April, the rescue was caring for more than 80 animals. It was struggling to fill its food pantry. With the help of Tractor Supply Co., they can take a breath, knowing there is a full supply.
The community support didn’t stop there, Wilderness Self Storage and UHaul also volunteered to help unload the pallets of food. The rescue is thankful for the community support. There are still other ways you at home can help as well.
“Fosters are the thing that we need most,” Mara explained. “Fosters are our most valuable resource. If we can get more people to foster, that would be amazing. The more fosters we have, the more animals we can save.”
