Enjoy the warmth before cooler air arrives later this week

The sun will return to the skies over southeast Nebraska Tuesday as high pressure settles in overhead.  Yes, it will be cooler when compared to last weekend and Monday, it will still be above normal.  High temperatures will be in the middle 50°s  to near 60° Tuesday afternoon.

Clouds will be on the increase Tuesday night ahead of a cold front that will pass through the state Wednesday.  Along and behind the front, rain will develop.  Cooler air will also filter in for the end of the week.  Highs will only be in the 40°s Thursday and Friday.  Combine that with mostly cloudy skies and gusty winds, it will likely feel like it is in the 30°s, especially Friday.

Cooler air is expected to hang around through the weekend as highs will only be in the lower to middle 40°s.
