Family of Lincoln double homicide victim still processing his shocking death
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The families of the victims of the double homicide have many questions and few answers.
The Lincoln Police Department confirmed Wednesday that Chris Karmazin and Ronald Gonzalez are the two men who were killed Monday at The Lodge apartments.

Karmazin leaves behind a wife and three children.
His brother told Channel 8 that he is still in shock.
“We hope in Christ that everything will work out,” Garrett Karmazin said. “We’ll have a funeral on Saturday, and hopefully that will help some.”

He said he can best describe his brother as a hard-working father.
“He was just a natural father,” he said. “And all of kids just took to him like a magnet.”
Karmazin said he is worried about his brother’s wife and children, as he was a provider for the family.
“He was, of course, a 50% provider for his family, if not more,” Karmazin said. “The actual bills and food and money are quite a thing. A lot has been swept out from underneath their legs.”
The family has a GoFundMe page where people can donate to help with funeral and other expenses.
Channel 8 reached out to Gonzalez’s family but has not heard back from them.
