Former Beatrice para charged with enticement

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A former paraeducator at Beatrice Public Schools has been charged with enticement in connection to her alleged relationship with a minor.

Court records show 28-year-old Casey Schaeffer is charged with enticement by an electronic device, contributing to the delinquency of a child and child abuse.

Authorities spent months investigating a potentially inappropriate relationship between Schaefer and a 14-year-old she was reportedly able to have one-on-one contact with during school hours.

Schaeffer was arrested earlier this year and had been out on bond. She is expected to be appear in court for arraignment next month.
