LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Columbus native Ernest Hausmann will play at Memorial Stadium next season, but this time, on a different team.

The former Husker linebacker announced Thursday via Twitter that he is now a Michigan Wolverine.

Hausmann was one of several Husker players who entered the transfer portal amid the program’s coaching changes.

In 2022, his freshman season, Hausmann played in every game and finished with 54 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.

In the game against Michigan, he made an impression, picking up 10 tackles, including a three-yard sack – the first of his career.

The Huskers are scheduled to host Michigan next season on Sept. 30.
