LINCOLN – Xavier Trevino wasn’t a Husker for long, but he feels he’s found the right fit for his collegiate football career.

The former Southeast standout is transferring to North Dakota this fall after spending just the spring semester as a Nebraska football walk-on.

Trevino was a super-state selection as an offensive lineman last season with the Knights. He said in his Tweet he couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a scholarship with North Dakota.

Trevino joins fellow walk-on offensive lineman A.J. Forbes to transfer from the program over the past couple weeks.
