LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Many school leaders thought they’d be done worrying about the COVID-19 pandemic when classes wrapped up in May of this year. However, as the Delta variant causes havoc across the country, administrators continue to keep the pandemic very much in the front of their minds.
Three local superintendents joined the Channel 8 morning show to discuss the growing concern of COVID-19 in the classroom as many school districts hope to have as much of a normal academic year as possible.
Jason Alexander of Beatrice Public Schools, Dr. Joshua McDowell of Crete Public Schools and Dr. Josh Fields of Seward Public Schools all talk about how they are handling the pandemic as classes begin next week.
