Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories overnight; Front brings wide range of temperatures Friday

Freeze Warning and Frost Advisories will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday as temperatures are expected to drop to the lower and middle 30°s and winds will be calm.  The Frost Advisories are posted for counties along the I-80 corridor and south to the Nebraska/Kansas state line.  The Freeze Warning is posted for counties north of I-80.

A weak front is passing through Nebraska Thursday evening.  The front is expected to reach northeast Nebraska Friday morning before stall.  As we go through the day Friday, it will move back to the west as a weak cold front.  East of the front, clouds will develop, winds will shift out of the east, and temperatures will be held in the 50°s.  West of the front, sunshine will prevail and temperatures will jump to the upper 60°s.
