Going back above freezing this weekend

Lincoln has spent 68-consecutive hours below freezing.  That streak comes to an end Saturday.  Not only will southeast Nebraska get back above freezing but temperatures will be much above normal this weekend.

Clouds will start to dissipate after midnight Saturday.  That will allow temperatures to dip in to the upper teens Saturday morning.

Sunshine early Saturday will be replaced by partly to mostly cloudy skies Saturday afternoon.  Temperatures will top out in the lower 40°s to near 50°.  The warmest temperatures will likely occur along and west of a line from Kearney, Hastings, and Hebron.

Temperatures will only drop to the 20°s Saturday night/Sunday morning.  This will help spring temperatures back to the middle 40°s Sunday afternoon.
