Heat continues into the weekend

The heat and humidity is going to stick around for while. Precipitation chances are small, but a few spot storms possible on and off.

The Heat Advisory is in place through Saturday evening. There is an Extreme Heat Warning in place just to the south and southeast.

Early morning temperatures will drop into the upper 70s for much of eastern Nebraska. That’s a very warm start to the day!

The highs will be well into the 90s for much of the state.

With dew points in the low 70s, the heat index will get well into the 100s Friday afternoon.

If you’re headed to the Husker game on Saturday, prepare for the heat!
