Husker Baseball Ready To Begin Unconventional Season

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (KLKN) — Nebraska baseball held on to beat Illinois, 8-6, on Friday night in Champaign, Ill. for the Big Red’s seventh-straight victory.

Max Anderson drove in the game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning while Spencer Schwellenbach picked up his fourth save of the season.

With the win, the Huskers moved into first place in the Big Ten standings. The same two teams return to action on Saturday with a 5:00 p.m. first pitch.
