Husker baseball jumps into national Top-25 rankings

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska baseball team climbed into several national rankings on Monday, including as high as No. 19 by one publication. It’s the first time the Big Red have been widely ranked since 2017.

Perfect Game has the Huskers ranked for the second-straight week. Nebraska jumped from No. 22 to No. 19 in this week’s poll after winning a three-game series at Michigan State over the weekend.

The Big Red jumped into Baseball America’s weekly rankings for the first time this season, checking in at No. 24. Also, D1baseball.com has the Huskers ranked at No. 22.

Nebraska (20-7) leads the Big Ten standings by one game over Indiana heading into this week’s series at home against Rutgers. The Huskers and Scarlet Knights get underway at 6:30 p.m. this Friday at Haymarket Park.
