Husker football players react to Big Ten fall season

"It's been a long time coming," said sophomore wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson. "We've been up and down, but we're happy now."

LINCOLN — Nebraska football players exited Memorial Stadium with a little more pep in their steps on Wednesday.

Football is back and the Huskers are ready for it.

“It’s been a long time coming,” said sophomore wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson. “We’ve been up and down, but we’re happy now.”

The Big Red were all ecstatic about the Big Ten’s decision to reinstate football this fall. Quarterback Adrian Martinez saying it’s been a tough six weeks for most of the team. But the Huskers have rallied around each other.

“I think this situation has really made our team stronger,” Martinez said.

The Huskers will kick off the season on either Oct. 23 or 24. There has been no schedule released from the Big Ten as of yet.
