Husker kicker grateful to have stolen truck back

"Unfortunately it had two flat tires, but I'd take that then having a totaled truck," Culp said.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Connor Culp has his truck back.

The Huskers’ starting kicker lost his keys on Saturday following Nebraska’s 30-23 win over Penn State, and when he went to retrieve his truck Sunday morning, it was gone.

According to Culp, it was found on Monday about a mile away from the Huskers’ team hotel, the Cornhusker Marriott.

“Unfortunately it had two flat tires, but I’d take that then having a totaled truck,” Culp said.

Culp said it looked like the thieves had taken it off-roading and it was in rough shape. However, he’s grateful his social media posts generated so much traction. He said he appreciated everyone keeping a lookout for it.
