Iowa man wanted in fatal eastern Nebraska shooting turns himself in

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Iowa man who police think was involved in a fatal shooting in Blair turned himself in on Monday.

The Blair Police Department says 22-year-old Elijah Logan turned himself in to members of Omaha’s Metro Fugitive Task Force around 2:40 p.m.

Logan was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

Police said Logan could face additional charges, including homicide.

On Friday, officers were sent to a home near 10th and Washington Streets on a report of a shooting and found two victims, a man and a woman.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.  The woman, who had gunshot wounds to her legs, was taken to a local hospital.

After an investigation, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Logan and asked for the community’s help in finding him.
