James Carnie poised for big season with Norris football

The Norris senior tight end is already committed to Miami (OH), but he's hoping to add more Power-Five Conference offers with a productive 2020 season. As long as COVID-19 doesn't get in the way.

FIRTH, Neb. – Expect big things out of James Carnie this fall football season.

The Norris senior tight end is already committed to Miami (OH), but he’s hoping to add more Power-Five Conference offers with a productive 2020 season. As long as COVID-19 doesn’t get in the way.

“This is the first time going through all this for me,” Carnie said. “So I don’t know any other way.”

The Titans are one of the favorites in Class B, and Carnie is a big reason why. The 6-4 product put on 20-30 pounds of muscle in the offseason and has taken over a leadership role for Norris as well.

“I’m grateful he’s on my team and not someone else’s team,” said senior teammate Dylan Meyer.

Norris opens the season at Elkhorn on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
