Kearney Catholic quarterback Heinrich Haarberg commits to Nebraska

Nebraska has its first in-state quarterback commit since 2003.

KEARNEY – Nebraska has its first in-state quarterback commit in almost two decades.

Kearney Catholic’s Heinrich Haarberg announced his intention to play football with the Huskers on Saturday.

Haarberg received an offer from Scott Frost on Monday and didn’t take long to make his decision. He had offers from several Power-5 schools including Boston College, Vanderbilt and N.C. State.

Haarberg is the first in-state quarterback to commit to the Big Red since 2003.
