Kobe Webster to return to Husker hoops for extra season

Webster averaged 8.1 points for the Huskers this past season, starting the final five games of the year. He scored in double figures in five of the final six games of the season.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The first senior is coming back for another season at Nebraska.

Kobe Webster announced on Tuesday that he will take advantage of the NCAA’s extra eligibility rule and return for his second year in Lincoln.

Webster averaged 8.1 points for the Huskers this past season, starting the final five games of the year. He scored in double figures in five of the final six games of the season.

A graduate transfer, Webster  spent the last three seasons at Western Illinois, scoring over 1,400 points and dishing out nearly 300 assists in 85 career starts.

The Huskers will now wait on the decision from Thorir Thorbjarnarson, who can return for another senior year as well.
