Krispy Kreme opening soon in Lincoln

Lincoln is about to get another famous doughnut shop. Krispy Kreme is opening on O Street right across from Gateway Mall. For brothers Jim and John Hoskinson they’ve been looking to expand their business for some time.
"We’ve been looking at Lincoln for quite a while trying to find the right location and we think we found the perfect location for our store," says Jim Hoskinson.
People will get the opportunity to enjoy their world famous original glazed donuts served hot and fresh from the oven. The store owners say the reason they chose to come to Lincoln is because of the growing economy and a chance to be closer to their favorite team.
"Lincoln is just a growing city. We’ve been trying to look for locations because it’s growing and we want to be a part of it. It’s a thriving city and we’re big Husker fans so this is important to us," says Jim Hoskinson.
Staff is busy training and getting ready for the grand opening which is next Tuesday starting at 5:30 a.m. They say the first person in line will receive a gift card that’s good for a dozen donuts a week for an entire year. The next 99 people will get a dozen donuts a month for a year. They say even though it’s likely going to be cold they’re hoping people will camp out.
"Ideally we were hoping to open in October but things slowed down for us, but here we are and it will be a great opening no matter what the weather is," says Jim Hoskinson.
