Three non UNL students arrested at “Fiji” house after disturbance

There was a large police presence outside of the "Fiji" fraternity house on UNL's campus late Wednesday night.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: According to a press release from UNLPD, three non UNL students were arrested during a vandalism at 1425 R. St Wednesday night.

Officers reported to a vandalism in progress at 1425 R St late Wednesday night.

Officers were made aware of a fight in progress as they were responding and were able to restore order to the scene.

Levi M Leon, 18, charges included Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and three counts of Criminal Mischief

Dario Rossin, 18, charges included Obstructing a Peace Officer and two counts of Criminal Mischief.

A 17-year-old juvenile charges included Assault on a Peace Officer, Minor in Possession, Trespassing, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fail to Comply, 3rd Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: According to the UNL Daily Crime & Fire Log the incident at the “Fiji” fraternity house late Wednesday night was listed as “ASSAULT – OF POLICE OFFICER”.

UNLPD has not confirmed this yet with Channel 8.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) –There was a large police presence outside of the “Fiji” fraternity house on UNL’s campus late Wednesday night. This comes just one day after the fraternity was suspended by the university until 2026.

A Channel 8 reporter on scene saw at least 10 police cars, some from Lincoln Police Department and the UNL Police Department. While LPD could not comment on what exactly happened, they were originally called for a disturbance.

A witness on scene said they saw a group of individuals breaking windows of the house along with cars parked nearby. Police could be seen taking evidence bags away from the area.
