Lincoln Christian excited for return to postseason

"These seniors were freshman the last time we made it," said head coach Kurt Earl. "We've had a really rough go in terms of wins and losses, but they have stayed determined. They're now getting to reap some of the rewards of their hard work."

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Christian won one game in two seasons since its last playoff appearance. But the Crusaders are back in the postseason for the first time since 2017.

No. 6 Lincoln Christian hosts No. 11 Gothenburg on Friday 6:00 p.m. The Crusader senior class has endured plenty to get to this point, but they are ready to play under the lights this Friday.

“These seniors were freshman the last time we made it,” said head coach Kurt Earl. “We’ve had a really rough go in terms of wins and losses, but they have stayed determined. They’re now getting to reap some of the rewards of their hard work.”

Said senior Gunner Dworak, “Oh man, we’re so excited. We said at the beginning of this year that this was going to be our year. So far we’re just putting in the work, and seven wins so far we just want to get another one.”
