The kits are for families or groups with children ages 3 to 8. The summer reading challenge goes until July 31.

Each kit has three books and a guide with activities to extend learning in the areas of art, science, music, and movement, and conversation starters. The themes covered in the kits are farm, forest, house pets, and pond.

The kits are available for a maximum of a three-week loan period.
