Lincoln murder suspect held without bond due to being a risk to community

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Tyler Benzel, a murder suspect in a death that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 15, had his arraignment today at 2 p.m. Benzel was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Benzel’s first court appearance ended with the court deciding to hold him without bond due to him being a flight risk and a risk to the community.

His court hearing is Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.
