Police investigating homicide in north Lincoln

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have arrested the suspect.


LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department says it’s investigating a homicide in north Lincoln, with no suspects in custody at this time.

LPD says it happened around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when officers responded to a stabbing call off of West Fairfield Street.

Officers arrived to find a 36-year-old woman from Lincoln with serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Officials say a 61-year-old Lincoln man is the main suspect and did know the victim. LPD said officers are actively searching for the man but he has not yet been located.
