LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A local nonprofit is offering $300 mini-grants to residents of six Lincoln neighborhoods to improve their communities.
Collective Impact Lincoln, a partnership between Civic Nebraska and Nebraska Appleseed, focuses on six neighborhoods: Clinton, Belmont, Everett, Near South, Hartley and University Place.
From now until June 1, residents in the six neighborhoods can apply for up to $300 for ideas on improving their community.
The idea must bring benefit and value to the neighborhood and the community, according to a press release.
This is the fourth set of mini-grants offered by Collective Impact Lincoln. Other initiatives funded through the program include tree plantings, music festivals and adopt-a-block events.
“As we approach a new season of growth and new life, we hope these mini-grants can enable residents and community groups to come together and give a boost to our neighborhoods,” said Alicia Phillips of Civic Nebraska, Collective Impact Lincoln’s program manager.
