Family and friends cope with the loss of 25–year–old Michael Briones.

He died after his truck crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle on Highway 66 near Mahoney state park Thursday morning.

His loved ones are still in disbelief.

"It’s like really tough to know one of those people that’s close to you is gone. It’s kind of tough to think about,” Friend Tyler Briones said.

Briones was described as a very upbeat person.

Those who knew him enjoyed his smile and playful spirit.

They also adored his loving demeanor.

His brother says what really set him apart was his charisma.

"He had a huge heart. The boy was charming, handsome. He was an awesome father. He’s just so charming. I think that’s one of his best deals. He could just charm anybody,” Older Brother David Briones said.

Briones also leaves behind two little girls and a wife. They were recently married.

She and the mother of his two daughters sent this statement:

" Michael was a hard working, loving, dedicated father and family man. He had one of the biggest hearts of anyone we have ever known. He was an amazing role model that exemplified how a man loves his wife and family.

He had two daughters that were his world and his love for them was evident in all of his actions and words in his everyday life. Everything he accomplished was done in excellence. Michael had a laugh that is unforgettable and would put a smile on anyone’s face. He lived each day to its fullest and the people around him always knew and felt the amount of love and care that Michael had for them.

Michael’s biggest goal in life was to provide and be present in his daughters and his families life. He has left a lasting impression on everyone’s heart.”

His family says his memory will always live on and words can’t describe how much he’ll be missed.

"You never forget that date. You never forget the day he was born and you never forget the day that he passed away. You never forget any of the in between time,” his brother said.

And His friends agree.

"He’s like a little brother to me and the rest of our friends. We love him and we’re going to miss him a lot," Collier said.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help the Briones family with expenses.
