LPD: 15-year-old turns himself in for role in riot vandalism

Authorities say a 15-year-old boy turned himself in for vandalism committed during recent riots in Lincoln.

Authorities say a 15-year-old boy turned himself in for vandalism committed during recent riots in Lincoln.

Lincoln police said a family member assisted the boy in turning himself in, after surveillance images of him were shared by police.

Police say the teen will be referred the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office for charging decisions.

A 28-year-old man is facing first-degree arson charges after reportedly admitting to lighting a fire inside a gas station during the rioting.

Police say more arrests are anticipated.
