The EZ GO gas station at 25th and O St. sustained heavy damage in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30, after a peaceful protest turned into a violent riot.
Channel 8 Eyewitness News cameras caught people looting and vandalizing the gas station, which was badly damaged, as well as vandalizing another nearby business.

The Lincoln Police Department issued the following statement regarding crimes committed during the riots:
“Please contact the Lincoln Police Department if you or someone you know were the victim of a crime during the recent demonstrations in Lincoln. After reviewing video footage, we are attempting to identify anyone who was assaulted or had property damaged by the small group of individuals who assaulted or threatened demonstrators, damaged property, and started fires. It’s not too late to make a report.”
