LPD: Man arrested with 9mm gun & $6k in cash

LPD reported arresting a man found with a loaded gun, pill bottles, and almost $6,000 in cash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Wednesday at 3 a.m., an LPD officer reported seeing a silver SUV at Park and Van Dorn street make several improper turns.

When the officers stopped the driver, they said he did not provide any identification. The officers reported seeing a plastic bag with a lot of money sitting in the car.

LPD reported finding several 9mm bullets on the driver’s person and then learned the driver is prohibited from carrying ammunition.

According to police, a search of the car turned up three pill bottles containing different prescription medications that didn’t belong to him, almost $6,000 in cash in the bag, and a loaded 9mm handgun that had been reported stolen from a Lincoln home.

Police identified the man as 47-year-old Patrick Godin Jr., Godin has been arrested on numerous charges.
