LPD: Suspect in custody, SWAT presence required

LINCOLN, Neb. — Around 10 o’clock Thursday morning, Lincoln Police were in the area of Thompson Creek Blvd. and S. 56th Street to Upton Grey Ln.

Officials say they were executing a search warrant on a domestic assault suspect, and they were aware that the suspect was armed. Lincoln Police reached out to SWAT to assist in safely carrying out the search.

Officers were able to take the suspect into custody around 11:00 a.m. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
