LPD: Vehicle, duplex found riddled with bulletholes

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A vehicle and duplex in a Lincoln neighborhood were found riddled with bulletholes Wednesday.

Around 5:30 pm, Lincoln police officers responded to the area of N 33rd and Holdrege Streets on a belated drive-by shooting report.

Officers contacted a 29-year-old female victim, a 26-year-old female victim, and a 30-year-male victim. The 29-year-old said her vehicle, a 2009 Cadillac Escalade was shot multiple times sometime the previous night. The damage was estimated at $2,000.

Police also found bullet holes in the victim’s neighboring duplex, estimated at $500 of damage. One hole was found from a bullet that traveled through a bedroom wall and living room before striking a closet door.

Multiple bullet casings and fragments were found on the scene, say police.

No one was injured, but the investigation is ongoing.
