Man arrested again after peeking through Lincoln apartment window, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested for the third time this year on Wednesday after he was seen peeking into a Lincoln apartment’s window, police say.
Around 1:30 a.m., a caller reported seeing an unknown man looking through a neighbor’s bedroom window at an apartment near 60th Street and Havelock Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found 64-year-old Joseph Reyna near the apartment building. He was then taken into custody and identified by the caller.
Reyna was arrested on suspicion of second-degree trespass.
Back in September, Reyna was spotted peering through a home’s window near 66th Street and Burlington Avenue.
Following an investigation, officers arrested him on suspicion of unlawful intrusion on Jan. 30, police said.
On March 9, Reyna was arrested again after he was seen peeking into the window of a home near 66th Street and Havelock Avenue.
In an arrest affidavit filed in January, investigators noted that Reyna has “previously been cited for peering into strangers’ residences in Nebraska since 1985.”
Sgt. Chris Vollmer on Wednesday said Reyna had been caught trespassing nine times since August 2021.
