Man cited in backyard fire that spread to three east Lincoln homes, LFR says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was ticketed after officials say he started a grass fire that damaged three homes on Friday.
Around 2:20 p.m., a man was burning cotton in his backyard near 56th and O Streets, Lincoln Fire & Rescue spokeswoman MJ Lierman said.
The fire eventually got out of hand and spread, causing damage to three nearby homes.

After an investigation, Lincoln Police cited the man on suspicion of negligent burning.
No one was injured in the fire, and the amount of damage is unknown.
